  • I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Smith College.
  • I am the co-CEO of the publishing company 619 Wreath LLC, and co-author of the book Radical Grace: Essays and Conversations in Teaching.
  • My research area is primarily in DNA Topology but I have active research in various areas of Mathematical Modeling. Google Scholar Page
  • I am a co-founder of the Underrepresented Students in Topology and Algebra Research Symposium (USTARS).​
  • I am a co-creator and co-director of the website www.mathematicallygiftedandblack.com which features profiles of Black mathematicians.
  • I am the director of the MAA Tensor SUMMA Program.
  • My service mission is to support communities historically and systemically excluded in STEM by creating and supporting programs that increase visibility, amplify the voices of women and people of color and create networks and community in STEM to provide opportunities to share resources. Thus I have an interest in and participate in programs that promote broadening participation in the mathematical sciences.
  • I  played rugby at CSU Chico and volunteered with the USMA Women's Army Rugby team.
